What are the problems with over-inflated tires?

Auto Repair

If your tires are not correctly inflated, then serious problems can arise. An over-inflated tire is stiffer and more rigid than it should be. The amount of rubber which comes into contact with the road surface is reduced. This lessens your level of control over your vehicle, and tires are more likely to be damaged when they hit any random debris or try to navigate a pothole in the road surface. Finally, but of great importance, over-inflated tires, with their excessive air pressure, are at greater risk of a dangerous blowout, often leading to an accident.

For almost thirty years, Bowers Automotive has provided superb tire and all other auto repair services in Colorado Springs.
